Position Overview: Understand and enforce Hospitality Rules and Regulations, as well as any manuals that pertain to one's responsibilities. Understand and enforce the Employee Code of Ethics. The Lead Teacher supports the Childcare Director by helping to create a caring and safe environment for the children and assisting in activities to improve the overall care and quality of education. FUNCTION:
The Donor Relations Specialist will design and implementation a strong mid-level donor relations program for the Southwest Ohio Northwest Kentucky (SWONEKY) Division to ultimately increase major giving as part of the overall fundraising plan. This role will implement a comprehensive action plan by analyzing the donor giving database to identify and qualify, cultivate, solicit, steward, and upgrade donors who are defined as mid-level with a goal of retaining and upgrading their gifts. This position will also work in tandem with the Territorial Headquarters (THQ) direct mail and digital programs to determine a strategic plan of cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship efforts for mid-level donors identified through those channels. There is a relationship to the THQ Associate Director of Major Gifts to give oversight on portfolio management and goal setting, as well as consideration of moving donors to major gifts (MG) or gift planning (GP) portfolios. This will involve engagement by strategic communications through all mediums and personalization of outreach, including virtual or in-person donor visits. This position will determine appropriate and meaningful mid-level donor annual fundraising and marketing strategies and will work collaboratively with territorial, divisional, and local marketing leadership to ensure that The Salvation Army’s mission and fundraising objectives are met and/or exceeded.

FUNCTION:
The Donor Relations Director (DRD) will play an integral role in the success of The Salvation Army’s major gift fund development efforts. This position will focus on building major donor relationships throughout the SWONEKY Division with particular emphasis in Greater Cincinnati and regions in Ohio. This position will lead all major gift strategies and communication associated with the discovery, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of major gifts. The DRD will bear the primary responsibility for managing his/her major donor portfolio for Divisional fundraising and in command of a high-end portfolio of donors and prospects within this geographic area. In this role, the DRD will identify, cultivate, solicit, acknowledge, steward and upgrade major gift prospects and donors, acting as the primary contact between The Army and all major donors and seeking to engage these donors with The Salvation Army for long term partnerships and potential gift planning strategies. It is expected this position will be out in the field over 50 percent of the time and attend regular staff meetings.
