The Pathway of Hope program supports local families on their journey from crisis to stability. The Case Manager will build rapport with families while in emergency shelter (Family Caring Center) to engage them in long-term case management once they exit to stable housing.
You will interview, collect & assess client data and then collaborate with Corps Ministry Teams/community partners to formulate a personalized plan of action for client families. The Case Manager will provide support in accomplishing goals, increasing self-sufficiency and increasing hope for the future.

This is a Full Time position, Monday-Friday 40hrs per week with base office located in the Family Caring Center 6017 Broad Street, near Bakery Square.

The Group Leader II will serve in a support role to the Corps Officers, under the direct supervision of the Program Directors. They will be intimately and integrally involved in the daily operations of the; School-Age Child Care program and the carrying out of its mission.
The Group Leader II may have oversight responsibility for a designated group of children and/or a specialized activity, as assigned by the Program Directors. They may also be responsible to exercise a measure leadership over other employees assigned to them.
The Group Leader II will be required to provide support to the Program Directors, when necessary. There may be periods when the Group Leader II will be assigned to assist with a group or activity, under the leadership of another Group Leader. The Group Leader II should be prepared, experienced and qualified to assume greater leadership responsibility, if necessary.
The ideal candidate will remain teachable and interested in their ongoing professional development.

The mission of Salvation Army's Family Caring Center is not only to help families through difficult times, but also to enable them to find permanent housing and learn how to live productive and fulfilling lives. Typical homeless shelters are often gender specific, allowing either women and children or men only. We accept entire family units, offering a unique, family-focused program. The Family Caring Center has seventeen individual rooms with a total of 36 beds for families in apartment-style units allowing the family to remain together in a safe, secure environment with three meals a day and specialized programming to help them get back on their feet. Children’s activities are supervised while parents attend classes in parenting, budgeting, resume-building and job skills, all with the intention of transforming their lives and transitioning them back into the community.
