Summer Camp Group Leader Openings – (9) Start/End Dates:  June 20, 2022 thru August 20, 2022 Location:  Ray & Joan Kroc Community Center – 650 Dudley Street, Dorchester, MA Pay Rate:  $16/hr Hours:  40 hours/week   Primary Responsibilities: Work with the Unit Leader and Education Manager to implement the day-to-day activities of the children enrolled in the Summer Camp. Provide a positive experience for children in all programs.   Qualifications - High School Diploma or Equivalent. - Associates Degree or bachelor’s degree in Child Development, Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, Child Guidance, Human Services, Nursing, Psychology, Physical Education, Recreation, Child Psychology, the Arts, Social Work, Sociology or Child Care preferred. - Minimum of six months experience working or volunteering with school age children.  - Experience with Christian Education Programs for school age children such as Sunday School or Vacation Bible Study, strongly preferred. - Must have a keen interest and sincere appreciation for children and able to relate well with individuals with varying needs. - Must be at least eighteen years of age. - Must utilize effective communication skills - Must complete Summer Camp Staff Orientation.

- The Anti-Human Trafficking Response Coordinator will work as part of a comprehensive response to trafficking in the Greater New York Command, including but not limited to conducting monthly direct outreach efforts to illicit massage parlors and other places where women and men are being exploited and trafficked. - Coordinate and develop short term emergency housing response in collaboration with law enforcement. - Provide trauma informed case management for all victims of human trafficking identified; and work with Salvation Army Programs and external service providers to ensure adequate survivor follow up and coordination. - Develop, conduct and participate in ongoing awareness and training events internally with Salvation Army personnel and volunteers as well as in partnership with external stakeholders. - Physically located at Greater New York Divisional Headquarters in New York City.   Schedule:    Full time; must be able to respond 24/7 to human trafficking emergencies and                         be willing to conduct overnight street outreach.                         Regular working hours: Mon-Fri 8.30 a.m. – 4.00 p.m. with a 30 min meal break.
