This includes programming, staffing, operations and safety of the aquatic area, outdoor splash area, locker rooms, family changing rooms, meeting spaces and associated mechanical spaces.   - Assists in hiring, training and scheduling qualified lifeguards, instructors and all other pool staff; directly supervises lifeguards, instructors, and other aquatic staff. - Maintaining the prescribed standards of the chosen risk management organization to include, but limited to: certification, in-service training, accident/incident report tracking. - Track and maintain appropriate chemical levels in all bodies of water based upon state or national standards in conjunction with US Facilities - Conducts training of staff in water safety, First Aid, and/or CPR; ensures that all certifications of staff is maintained. The position will also work with the other “programmers” in the building so as to integrate as many different aspects of the facility into as many programs as possible. - Responsible for preparing an annual budget and operating within those fiscal parameters. Also heavily involved in the capital improvement plan and replacement schedule for aquatic equipment. - Work with US Facilities regarding the monitoring of the aquatic facility which includes the HVAC, filtration and sanitary systems. Involvement includes both formal and informal counseling, conflict resolution, coaching and, when necessary, structured interventions and/or disciplinary action.   Payroll - Processes bi-weekly payroll for Kroc. - Review exception log to be sure that exceptions have been entered into ADP by the supervisor. - Review all payroll records before submission to DHQ. Look for anomalies (over time, hrs over/under approved, excessive unpaid days, etc). - Research all issues/discrepancies, and process with support from DHQ payroll - Transmit ADP file to DHQ payroll bi-weekly no later than 10:00am on Mondays. - Distribute checks and paystubs on a bi-weekly basis. Encourage employees to enroll in direct deposit - Comply with the regulatory standards and policies and procedures of payroll. - Assist employees and supervisors with ADP training, payroll issues, and requests for payroll information   Recruiting & Onboarding - Interacts and consults with Kroc Officers and supervisory personnel in overseeing the coordination and implementation of recruitment procedures - position analysis and evaluation - job description preparation - recruitment - applicant interviewing (includes phone screening and in person) as requested - Conducts new employee orientations to ensure employees gain understanding of The Salvation Army and the Kroc Center. Maintain copies of all documents at the Kroc Center in a locked cabinet. - Status Changes – exemption changes, salary increases/decreases, FT to PT and PT to FT changes must be discussed with DHQ HR and put through the approval process prior to notifying the employee - Keep Kroc Work Rules up to date with the assistance of the Kroc Administrator and Divisional HR Director. - Submit all workers compensation claims to Chesterfield in a timely manner. - Attend staff meetings and Kroc Staff Leadership meetings as required. - Directs, coordinates and maintains The Salvation Army’s Performance Appraisal System. This includes training, documentation, review and analysis, and annual reporting of all employee reviews.  Coordinates and oversees the annual processing of all employee Merit Increases for the Kroc Center. - Reply to all employment verification requests with start/end dates and salary only. All unemployment requests must be handled at DHQ. - Chair the Staff Enrichment Committee.
