Pay Range: up tp $20 per hour

 

The Kroc Safety Associate is responsible for the safety and security of the entire RJKCCC facility and its guests, volunteers, and employees. This position is responsible for maintaining the overall security of the Boston Kroc Center campus by patrolling all designated areas on foot and enforcing Center rules, regulations and codes of conduct

 

This job description is not all inclusive.  It is intended to identify the essential duties of the position.  Other duties, responsibilities and tasks may be assigned.

Responsibilities

  1. Maintain high levels of guest service while interacting with guests and members of the Ray and Joan Kroc Corps Community Center.
  2. Monitor and authorize entrances and departure of employees, visitors, and other persons to guard against theft and maintain security of premises; ensure that the Kroc Center is always safe for all people.
  3. Patrol assigned areas on foot, checking for unusual conditions, vandalism, suspicious activity/persons, and safety/fire hazards.
  4. Circulate among visitors, patrons, or employees to preserve order and protect property.
  5. Crowd control: assist and direct guests in moving about the facility to avoid overcrowded conditions
  6. Warn persons of rule infractions or violations, and apprehend or evict (escort) violators from premises
  7. Immediately rectify and/or report to the appropriate management staff any potentially unsafe conditions
  8. Ensure that the Kroc Center property is properly monitored and secure.
  9. Respond to alarms, emergencies (functional knowledge of Center emergency codes); decide what actions to take based on given situations, facts known and position limitations.
  10. Supervise daily activities of security vendor personnel, ensuring consistent adherence to security protocols and duties.
  11. Supervise and coordinate annual security training initiatives, ensuring comprehensive preparedness and skill development.
  12. Coordinate with other departments to ensure adequate security coverage for special events
  13. Perform other related duties as needed

 

Qualifications

 

  • Able to function in a fast-paced, frequently changing work environment.
  • Must have great customer service skills
  • Must be able to work with all ethnic and socio-economic populations
  • Must possess or be able to acquire within 30 days of employment a First aide/CPR certification card.
  • Must be able to read, write, and clearly communicate in English.
  • Must be able to function effectively with minimal supervision.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license
