The Milieu Worker is to communicate and support all residents in a trauma informed manner.  The Milieu worker will co-facilitate life skills groups that cover such topics as emotional management, applying for victim’s compensation, and how to adjust their independent living skills in order to return to a pre-victimization status.  The Milieu Worker works closely with the case manager to support the residents in meeting their individual goals through helping residents fill out applications or paperwork.  Milieu Worker will inform residents of information regarding victims’ compensation claims and support in filing.  The Milieu Worker is to effectively communicate with the house manager, other residential advisors, participate in weekly client review, as well as team meetings in order to create a trauma informed environment.
