The in-residence rehabilitation program focuses on basic necessities with every man or woman being provided a clean and healthy living environment, good food, work therapy, leisure time activities, group and individual counseling, and spiritual direction. GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB:
Serving under the direction of the Director of Operations, assist with the logistics & maintenance services of the East Cleveland Corps Community Center. The Facilities Assistant will support and maintain the Mission of The Salvation Army and the Vision of the East Cleveland Corps, in accordance with all applicable internal & external policies and procedures.

The Maintenance Assistant is responsible for ensuring the overall upkeep, cleanliness, and safety of our building. This position focuses on performing light repairs and routine maintenance tasks such as changing light bulbs, tightening fixtures, replacing knobs, and handling basic handyman duties.
The Maintenance Assistant will also be responsible for ensuring that both the interior and exterior of the facility remain in good condition and in compliance with local Health Department codes and safety regulations. This includes seasonal tasks such as snow removal, sidewalk clearing, and occasional support with donation pickups.
