This position will assist the GNY Music & Creative Arts Department in operating the Summer Music & Creative Arts Conservatory programs by serving as a counselor for Conservatory students and helping with/instructing classes and groups. 

The purpose of the Social Service Case Worker  is to serve those in need in our community with Salvation Army resources and donations through the delivery of basic needs services and case management.

Reporting directly to the Food Services Manager, the cook is required to work to ensure excellence in the cooking of food items, assure proper cleaning and sanitation, as well as superior organization within the food services coolers, freezers and storage areas, and provide excellent customer service to all clients.  This is a 21 hour per week position (3 days/week) at an hourly rate of $17.00.  The hours are: Friday & Saturday 9:30 a.m-5:00 p.m., and Sunday from 8:30 a.m.-4:00 p.m.

The Case Manager provides supportive and direct intensive case management services to the homeless families residing in the Shelter.  The Case Manager assesses the client’s needs and jointly develops a collaborative plan that addresses those needs.  The Case Manager prepares the client for self-sufficiency and independent living and supports their transition back into the community.  The Case Manager engages all clients and conferences with them when issues of noncompliance are identified.  The Case Manager organizes case conferences and ensures that their clients are actively involved in their discharge planning.

Case Manager at Kingsboro Men’s Shelter MICA Program. This is a 143-bed facility located at 681Clarkson Avenue Brooklyn NY 11203.  The Case Manager renders direct casework and/or group work services to residents and is responsible for assessing, referring, and follow-up of social services.

Employee reports directly to the Facility Manager. The Porter is expected to maintain the appearance of the building clean and orderly and generally serving the residents.

Through an assessment process, they will evaluate the need to determine The Salvation Army response; advocating for needed services, connecting clients to additional resources, intervening in crises, and providing personal support. Will maintain appropriate records through an internal database, logging services rendered. This person will be responsible for researching, implementing, and coordinating the development of additional services for the community with input/guidance from the Support Services Manager and the Corps Officers. They will also represent the Kroc Center at various community events, engaging with families with the goal of connecting them to the Kroc Center’s programs and services. They will provide excellent service to all who participate in programs/services held at the Kroc Center.
