Prepare various intake forms and procedures. - Report statistics and other records as needed by The Salvation Army, FEMA, Good Neighbor Energy Fund, Project Bread, Food Bank and Helping Hands Fund. - Develop a thorough understanding of community needs and resources, by attending community meetings, networking, etc. - Provide information and referral services by phone and in person. - Direct seasonal programs and activities under the direction of the Corps Officer: Thanksgiving, Christmas Castle and Angel Tree Programs, Camp and any other local programs that may be part of the Social Ministries program. - Assist the Corps Officer with the development of new social service programs designed to meet changing community needs - Assist with the development of Emergency Disaster teams and in the provision of disaster services, such as: mass feeding, sheltering, assessments, counseling, etc. - Help with the development of public relations releases and the accepting of speaking engagements on your ministry, on behalf of The Salvation Army. - Attend and make reports monthly or as requested by the Corps Officer to the Corps Council and the Advisory Board.
