The Health and Wellness Specialist will work with the Health and Wellness Director to provide effective health and wellness programming to cadets at The Salvation Army College for Officer Training. Health programming will consist of education, organizing sport/fitness and recreation opportunities, and health coaching in the areas of nutrition, exercise, and healthy lifestyle habits. The Health and Wellness Specialist will also assist with the implementation of the Health and Wellness program by providing small group personal training, coordinating family-oriented recreation, and group health and wellness instruction.

Status: Part-time Hours Per Week: 14 (hours will be increased during November and December each year) Schedule: Tuesday & Thursday, 9:00 am - 4:00 pm   Scope & Purpose of Position: Provide material assistance to individuals in need, including food, personal hygiene items, and Christmas toys. Classification: Full-Time, Non-Exempt, 40 hours/week, 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.   Job Focus:  This position is responsible to provide direct assistance with the day-to-day Area Services property department operation by performing building and equipment maintenance, grounds keeping, snow removal, minor renovations, sanitation and cleaning, event set-up and clean up, organization of supply areas, and transporting of donations.  The Area Services office is located at 966 E. May be asked to aid other Corps as it relates to Grant and Foundation opportunities. This position is primarily responsible for writing grants needed for Greater Cincinnati Operations and an annual fundraising goal is assigned to this position.
