SCOPE AND PURPOSE OF POSITION:
The Food Pantry Intake Worker will be responsible for meeting with clients that are requesting assistance, answering the phone, ordering of supplies for the food pantry and other supplies as requested by the Corps Officers. This individual must maintain Clinton County Health Department protocols and meet Regional Food Bank standards, maintain volunteer records, as well as meet or exceed The Salvation Army standard for Corps and client files. This individual must work in an autonomous manner and be able to establish and maintain an effective rapport with others. In addition, this individual must meet supply ordering deadlines, as well as forwarding food tracking and statistical data to the Corps Officer.
The After-School Teacher supports the After-School Program Director by helping to create a caring and safe environment for the children and assisting in activities to improve the overall care and quality of education. S/he must be able to communicate, listen and work well with others in a team environment, assisting the staff in implementing a quality school-age educational program and developing positive relationships with the children and their parents. The After-School Teacher observes and documents children’s interests and progress, relays that information back to parents and staff, and implements developmentally appropriate activities under the direction of the Program Director.
The Assistant Director is responsible for assisting the Program Director in ensuring the health, safety, and quality of education for all children within the program’s care. Under the direction of the Program Director, the Assistant Director collaborates with staff to ensure that curriculum and classroom activities are properly delivered and that the needs of the students and the goals of the program are met appropriately.

Under the direction of Corps Officers, the security and maintenance personnel help to ensure the building properly cleaned and sanitary for staff and visitors into the building. Maintain the Chapel clean and in order.
Under direct supervision of the Help Desk Manager, the Technical Support Specialist will provide competent and professional technical solutions to Customer issues. Duties include creating and updating Tickets within established timeframes and performing follow-up with Customers via telephone, email, or in-person. Solutions include, but are not limited to, resolving username and password problems, uninstalling/reinstalling basic software applications, verifying proper hardware and software set up, administering VOIP and voicemail, power cycling equipment, assisting users with various applications, and troubleshooting email issues. Support will be provided by clearly communicating technical solutions in a user-friendly, professional manner. This position is for servicing the Greater New York Divisional Headquarters, as well as field work performed at many Salvation Army sites within the Greater New York area. The Technical Support Specialist performs additional tasks as assigned by the Director of Information Technology.

Under the supervision of the Director, the custodian employee is responsible for maintaining the center premises and its equipment in a clean, safe, healthy, and comfortable condition inside and outside.
Under the supervision of the educational director of the center, the group teacher shall be Responsible for:
- WORKING WITHIN THE FRAMEWORK OF THE FRAMEWORK OF THE SPONSORING AGENCY of the day care center and carrying out its functions, policies and procedures; observing the schedules in the center and adhering to its established personnel policies and practices.
Within policy guidelines established by the Board of Directors, the terms of the Purchase of Service Agreement, and licensing requirements, the Director is responsible for overall administration and supervision of the total program of day care services to families and children. The Social Ministries Regional Case Manager is responsible for the supervision and management of overall casework services offered to families through the Social Ministries programs at identified Corps or social services/ministries site. The Social Ministries Regional Coordinator will work with the Divisional Social Ministries Director and collaborate with The ASSD and Divisional Pathway of Hope Coordinator to support the implementation of the program’s objectives including training of Corps staff involved in Case Management, collection of data, and reporting on outcomes. The principal function is to provide supervision to support the direct service, community resource development, and casework consultation to ensure the full implementation of Social Ministries, Strength Based programming and the Pathway of Hope model within the assigned Cluster. This job description is not all inclusive. It is intended to identify the essential duties of the position. Other duties, responsibilities and tasks may be assigned.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in human service area: prefer LSW from an accredited college or university
- Prefer LCSW, LCP, or LCPC
- Minimum of four years of experience in the supervision of comparable social service programs that offer multi-faceted casework interventions designed to address the needs of families utilizing strengths-based approach.
- Experience and/or strong interest in community outreach, organization, and community capacity development.
- Must have an interest and ability to work with people and clients of diverse racial, ethnic, and socio-economic backgrounds in a sensitive and culturally appropriate manner.
- Ability to collaborate on complex social issues within families and communities.
- Ability to speak and understand English in a manner that is sufficient for effective communication with supervisors, employees, beneficiaries, and customers.
- Demonstrated capacity to teach adults.
- Familiarity with Salvation Army policies and procedures.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Travel, including overnight and weekends, will be required occasionally.
