QUALIFICATIONS

- Practical training in education

- Soldier (member of The Salvation Army Church) or willing to become a Soldier, preferred

The Corps Ministry Assistant is responsible for building the bridge between outreach programs and the Corps.
- Sunday Children’s Ministry
- Plan and execute Children’s Sunday School Class for Grades K-5
- Manage resources for Sunday School Teachers
- Plan and execute Children’s Church for Grades K-5
- Facilitate use of Parent Cue and at home materials for families
- Encourage attendance growth of youth and families for Sunday mornings.

Program Manager should have a comprehensive knowledge of community resources, OPWDD regulations, and related fiscal issues, have a thorough knowledge of the individual’s personal goals, preferences, and needs. Program Manager will assist the Assistant Director and Director of Developmental Disabilities Services of The Salvation Army Greater New York Division in the overall administration of the program. The Program Manager will ensure the individuals receive the highest standard of services required. The Donor Relations Specialist (DRS) will lead the design and implementation of a robust mid-level donor relations program for the NJ Division of The Salvation Army by developing a comprehensive action plan to identify, qualify, cultivate, solicit, and steward mid-level donors to retain and upgrade their gifts and to consider transitioning donors to the Major Gifts or Gift Planning portfolios. In collaboration with the Territorial Headquarters (THQ) Associate Director of Major Gifts, the DRS will formulate a strategic plan of cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship efforts for mid-level donors identified through the THQ direct mail and marketing program, leveraging multi-channel strategic communications and personalized outreach (virtual and in-person) to engage donors. The DRS will identify appropriate and meaningful mid-level donor annual fundraising and marketing strategies, working collaboratively with territorial, divisional, and local marketing leaders to ensure that The Salvation Army’s mission and fundraising objectives are met and exceeded.

SCOPE AND PURPOSE OF POSITION:

The Shelter Director provides leadership to all staff members and volunteers, and stablish shift schedules so that all minimum staffing requirements are met twenty four hours a day, seven days a week. SCOPE AND PURPOSE OF POSITION:
The Volunteer & Red Kettle Coordinator is responsible for developing, implementing and maintaining an exemplary program to provide stewardship, recognition, involvement and engagement of corporate, religious, academic groups, as well as individual donors of time and financial support. The goal of the position is to have The Salvation Army be the donor experience of choice when volunteering in the community. This position’s success should ultimately result in donors of time and/or funds, with a deeper engagement and commitment to the Salvation Army’s mission. They will additionally work to coordinate the Greater Buffalo Red Kettle effort by securing volunteers (individuals, groups, school & college groups, families and businesses) to man collection sites at Greater Buffalo area stores/malls. The position is a key contributor to the success of the Red Kettle effort, which raises money for the many programs of The Salvation Army of Greater Buffalo. Additionally, the Events and Volunteer Coordinator will brainstorm, coordinate and implement special fundraising events, including but not limited to: The Red Kettle Open golf tournament, The Red Kettle Luncheon and Buffalo’s Most Amazing Race – all key fund raisers and community volunteer engagement opportunities. A comprehensive marketing plan will be developed for each event, in conjunction with the Strategic Development Plan and Long-Range BAS Strategic Plan, including PR and community relations.
Under the supervision of the Program Director, the custodian is responsible for maintaining the center premises and its equipment in a clean, safe, healthy, and comfortable condition inside and outside.
