Position: Kroc Safety Associate (KSA)    

Location/Dept.: The Salvation Army Kroc Center (SAKC), Philadelphia, PA

Availability: Immediately

Schedule: Full- Time (up to 40 hours per week) - Must be willing and able to work weekends and evenings as will be required in performance of duties or as requested to support the ongoing operations of the Kroc Center.

Reporting Relationship: Operations Ministries Director

Salary Grade: $17.09 per hour; 75 Non exempt

The Kroc Safety Associate is responsible for the safety and security of the entire RJKCCC facility and its guests, volunteers, and employees. This position is responsible for maintaining the overall security of the Kroc Center campus by patrolling all designated areas on foot and enforcing Center rules, regulations and codes of conduct.

Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent. 1-3 years prior experience in security or related field. Able to function in a fast-paced, frequently changing work environment. Possess good Guest Service skills; must be able to work with all ethnic and socio-economic populations. Able to stand; walk for extended periods of time; must be in good physical and mental health, capable of meeting the demand of the Kroc Center job site. This position requires the ability to work well with others while  responding to direction and feedback. Must possess or be able to acquire within 30 days of employment a First aide/CPR certification card. Able to read, write, and clearly communicate in English. Must possess a valid Driver’s License; must possess the ability to pass The Salvation Army Fleet Safety Driver’s Test. Must be able to function effectively without supervision. Must pass the Salvation Army Fleet Safety Driver’s Test. As a Mandated Reporter, must provide proof of having completed training on recognizing and reporting child abuse meeting the training standards of PA Act 153 of 2014 within 30 days of employment with recurrent training required every five years thereafter. Meets the Child Protection Clearances required by PA Act 153 to include PA Child Abuse History Clearance, PA State Police Criminal Record Check and FBI Criminal Record Check. Must have an understanding of and appreciation for the Mission of The Salvation Army.
