Classification: Full-Time, Non-Exempt, 40 hours per week, 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Occasional evenings and weekend days (primarily related to campaigns and events).
Salary: $21.50 - 23.00 per hour + a fantastic benefit package*
Job Focus: The Volunteer Relations Specialist is responsible for increasing volunteerism for The Salvation Army in Central Ohio through active recruitment and engagement with current and prospective volunteers and organizations. Volunteer needs of the corps, programs, and events should be constantly evaluated. Of specific importance is the recruitment of volunteers for the Kettle Campaign.

Job Focus: This position is responsible to provide direct assistance with the day-to-day Area Services property department operation by performing building and equipment maintenance, grounds keeping, snow removal, minor renovations, sanitation and cleaning, event set-up and clean up, organization of supply areas, and transporting of donations. The Area Services office is located at 966 E. Main Street, Columbus, serves as the home base for this position.

Job Focus: This position provides assistance and support to the after school/summer tutorial program at our learning center on Karl Rd or W. Mound St. Assistance includes scheduling activities, academic instruction, promote and supervise activities and maintain a safe, healthy, and emotionally stable environment for participants.

Classification: Part-Time, Non-Exempt, 20-25 hours/week/36 weeks during the After School program, 2:30 – 6:30 p.m., may work up to an additional 5 hours per week to complete paperwork and program participation. This center’s location is in the Hilltop area on West Mound Street. During 8 weeks in the summer, 35 hours per week.
Job Focus: This position provides leadership to the after-school tutorial program at a Learning Center site, including direct supervision of program assistants and all paid or volunteer tutors, continued relationship as liaison to local schools and implementation of curriculum and program evaluations.

Job Focus:
Responsible to develop curriculum and distribute lesson plans to site coordinators, to conduct and monitor Curriculum Based Measurement Assessments on student participants, to maintain a database to monitor the results of assessments, and to develop and implement appropriate academic intervention strategies for those students determined to be “at risk” academically for their grade level. Provide administrative support as needed to the Education Coordinator and assist with student recruitment.
