Under the direct supervision of the Program Manager, the Resident Assistant will provide support to shelter residents and create a hospitable and safe environment in the shelter.
Under the direct supervision of the Director of County Operations, (DCO) and the Regional Shared Ministry Coordinator (RSMC), the Director of Social Services has operational responsibility to oversee social service programs and works with the executive team to identify and implement expanded social service initiatives. Plans and arranges own work, referring questionable matters to the DCO and RSMC. The position has operational responsibility to oversee the application for a program implementation of government grants and contracts/United Way funding associated with the programs. The position ensures that each program area operates in accordance with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations, and if licensed, complies with all applicable licensing requirements.
Reporting directly to the Camp Coordinator, the Counselor is responsible for the supervision of the children enrolled in the Kids Summer Adventure program.
The Director of Development will provide leadership for the day-to-day operations and management of Greater Rochester’s Development Department. This position will support and promote the vision, philosophies and directives of the DOMC &. RSMC. They will be a key member of the Divisional Development Leadership Team under the direction of the Divisional Director of Advancement, carrying out divisional initiatives, strategies and best practices. They will promote a productive and results-oriented development environment, emphasizing team work, accountability, donorcentered philosophies and systems for RAS.
While the sources of donations are diverse, and the entire Development Department works to secure them, the Director of Development will oversee the individual, corporate, and fundraising events with the Department.
The Director of Development will provide strong, creative, energetic, strategic leadership and track all annual and long-term fundraising initiatives and set new, ambitious, but attainable goals in order to increase annual operating funds. This position will build and develop effective working relationships between the development team and other departments within the organization. The Director of Development will take initiative to position The Salvation Army as a cause worthy of donors’ support.
The Director of Development will provide necessary support to The Salvation Army's Christmas campaign/annual giving program in Greater Rochester. The Director of Development will share best practices from Salvation Army operations throughout the Empire Division. The Director of Development, along with the Director of Operations, will play a key role in assisting with the sustainability and expansion of the Christmas campaign.
The Director of Development will work closely with the DOMC, RSMC, Divisional Director of Advancement, Corps Officers, development staff and Advisory Board to create integrated fundraising strategies. This includes the implementation and ongoing refinement of a comprehensive program for enriching and cultivating relationships with current and potential funding partners.
