Description of Position:
The New Home Resident Advisor (RA) is to ensure a safe and welcoming environment for the New Home residents through
the implementation and monitoring of hours rules pertaining to resident conduct, fire safety, room conditions, conflict resolution, and curfew
restrictions. The RA conducts house and room checks, answers the telephone, greets visitors, accommodates new residents as they transition into
the space, prepares a home report at the end of each shift, manages sign-in logs, responds to emergencies to ensure, that if necessary, residents are
evacuated safely and efficiently and responds to residents needs and requests. The RA is to communicate and support all residents in a trauma
informed manner. The RA is to effectively communicate with the house manager, other resident advisors, and perform other duties as assigned.
This position will assist the GNY Music & Creative Arts Department in operating the Summer Music & Creative Arts Conservatory programs by serving as a Counselor for Conservatory students and helping with and instructing classes and groups.

SCOPE AND PURPOSE OF POSITION:
Working under the supervision of the Corps Officer, the Office Manager performs general office administrative work. Functions are varied in subject matter and level of difficulty. Work requires the use of independent judgment.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance required
- 3-5 years’ work experience
- Must be computer literate and have proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel

FUNCTION: This person will meet with individuals/families who are seeking financial support given by The Salvation Army in Dayton. Through an assessment process, they will evaluate the need to determine The Salvation Army response. Pathway of Hope will be implemented through this process by the case manager. POH provides targeted services for families with a desire to take action to break the cycle of crisis and build a path out of intergenerational poverty. With the guidance of the divisional POH regional coordinator, the case manager will use a strengths-based, Stages of Change approach and Motivational interviewing skills to help families set and achieve goals that will bring about a better future for their families. They will provide excellent service to all who participate in functions held at the Kroc Center. In conjunction, they will keep as a priority, the promoting of the Christian faith and values in keeping with the Mission of The Salvation Army.

As a member of the Property Department team, the Lead Imaging Specialist ensures the scanning program is working as designed and collaborates with the I.T. Department on any troubleshooting challenges. The Imaging Specialist is responsible for all aspects of printing, scanning, assigning project numbers, distributing items, creating, deleting, and modifying files within the Imaging Program. Additionally, this individual will repair and generate corrupted database files, assist in back-up and recovery of imaging files, aid in installation of new releases of imaging software, organize and maintain electronic storage where blueprints are stored, export TIF images, assist with incoming and outgoing mail, file and purge files as needed or requested, and provide clerical assistance.
The goal of the Family Caring Center is not only to help families through difficult times, but also to enable them to find permanent housing and learn how to live productive and fulfilling lives. Typical homeless shelters are often gender specific, allowing either women and children or men only.
The Salvation Army’s Family Caring Center accepts entire family units, offering a unique, family-focused program. The Family Caring Center has seventeen individual rooms with a total of 36 beds for families in apartment-style units allowing the family to remain together in a safe, secure environment with three meals a day and specialized programming to help them get back on their feet.
Children’s activities are supervised while parents attend classes in parenting, budgeting, resume-building and job skills, all with the intention of transforming their lives and transitioning them back into the community.
The HOUSE MANAGER is responsible for the oversight, coordination, care and safety of program residents throughout their stay in the Family Caring Center. The Full Time Weekday position will work Monday-Friday. We will consider shift preference, however, flexibility to cover a rotation of all 3 shifts is important to ensure adequate staffing. 7a-3pm, 3pm-11pm or 11pm-7am.
