About the Reed House:
The Salvation Army, Reed House is a 66 single room occupancy facility that houses formerly homeless residents. RH is located in the south Philadelphia section of Philadelphia. Reed House is a facility that is funded by the city of Philadelphia through the Department of housing and urban development’s Continuum of Care funding source. It is also funded by the Philadelphia Housing Authority (PHA), therefore, the residents are responsible for thirty percent of their rent, and PHA will pay for the other seventy percent of the rent through a Housing Assistance Payment directly to the site.

Scope & Purpose of Position: Play an integral role in assisting the Divisional Donor Relations Director (DDRD).

FUNCTION: This position is responsible for budget preparation, general forecasting, maintenance of the accounting system, preparation and analysis of monthly finance reports, the general oversight of area finances and to ensure compliance with policy, contracts, and grants. Provide specialized administrative support to the Donor Relations Directors (DRD’s) and Director of Major Gifts with database entry and reporting, preparing and editing written documents, presentations, and spreadsheets, and maintaining an efficient workflow within the department and in collaboration with other internal departments. Serve as Major Gifts liaison to 38 corps community centers. Possibility of building a small donor caseload and/or coordinating the young professional’s board. Support department and team events.
