The helper shall perform his/her general duties under the supervision of the director, and when assigned to food service responsibilities, under the supervision of the cook. The helper performs functions related to housekeeping, food service and the maintenance and distribution of supplies. In additional, the helper is expected to accept training related to food preparation and cooking so that he/she may substitute for the cook when agreed or required (emergency).
Under the supervision of the Director, the custodian employee is responsible for maintaining the center premises and its equipment in a clean, safe, healthy, and comfortable condition inside and outside. Follows individual work schedules provided by the Director to indicate specific responsibilities and the time scheduled for them. Cooperates in total staff effort designed to improve the center’s service. Participates in periodic individual conferences and regular staff meetings as scheduled by the Director. These will be called when changes are planned in the children’s program, which affects the cook so that discussions and suggestions for improving the services may be shared among the director and staff. Such meetings will also be called when policy or changes are to be made affecting budgetary needs for food and supplies or rearrangement of space. Participation in staff parties and attendance in parents’ meetings are also encouraged but not required, as a means of promoting a feeling of staff unity and proving opportunities for information exchange of information between parents and total staff.
The following job description is intended to set forth the full range of functions required of a day care bookkeeper. Timely and competent performance of these tasks is critically important to the smooth operation. of everyday care program, its funding and accountability. For this reason and because the tasks here outlined are extremely diverse, directors must develop a plan to provide a regular, uninterrupted time for fulfillment of the following priority functions:
Bookkeeper works on General Journal, General Ledger, and trial balance.
Bookkeeper works with Assistant to train him/her to perform all bookkeeping functions as
needed and in the Bookkeeper where one exists.
Under the general supervision of the center director, the Bookkeeper is responsible for maintaining a complete set of records of all financial transactions of the childcare center. The Bookkeeper balances books for the preparation of reports to show income, expenses and other items related to bookkeeping of the center’s activities.

- To share responsibility for planning and supervising an appropriate arrangement of classroom equipment and furniture designed to promote optimal program functioning.

In order to effectively carry out these overall responsibilities, the Director shall consider, confer and consult with other supervisory staff members of the center in arriving at decisions affecting areas in which these persons may be specialists.

Care Manager 3 (high acuity) provides outreach and enrollment services to children presumed to meet eligibility requirements of New York State’s Children’s Health Home program in Oswego and Cayuga County. They gather assessments and enter documentation that confirms eligibility and identifies areas requiring supportive services. They work with children, families and service providers to create a comprehensive Plan of Health Care, identify additional service providers as necessary, and coordinate the continuing involvement of families and service providers in the execution of the plan. Care Manager 3 documents progress and arrange for eventual transition between health homes as necessary, or from health homes to other levels of service following changes in eligibility.

SCOPE AND PURPOSE OF POSITION:
TheCare Manager provides comprehensive care management services to children and adults presumed to meet eligibility requirements of New York State Health Home program. They will gather documentation that confirms eligibility for the program and work with clients to assess and identify areas requiring supportive services. (Children’s Health Homes) The care manager works with children, families and service providers to complete the Child & Adolescent Needs and Strengths Assessment, which will guide them in creating a comprehensive Plan of Care. The care manager will collaborate with client’s service providers and with client/family to help achieve identified goals on Plan of Care. (Adult Health Homes) The care manager works with Adults in creating a comprehensive Plan of Care. The care manager collaborates with the client’s other providers to help achieve identified goals on Plan of Care. Care manager will assess the need for additional services, such as Home and Community Based Services for both children and adults enrolled in the Health Homes program. The Care Manager will be required to document all contact related to client’s case in an electronic health record and monitors the need for additional interventions based on client need.
