The Special Events Attendant assists the Special Events and Rental Sales Manager with all aspects of the Kroc Center programs in a wide variety of tasks including but not limited to: Organizing and planning special events and birthday parties, reporting and administrative duties.
Qualifications
- High School Degree required; Associates or Bachelor’s Degree Preferred
- Minimum two years of progressive experience in volunteer development training/coordination.
- Experience in public relations, communication, or marketing is a benefit.
- Energetic, organized, individual with excellent people skills
- Experience in working with groups
- Interpersonal writing and verbal communication skills
- Must be able to communicate effectively in English
- Computer literate

The Student Navigator is responsible to support one or more care coordinator as a navigator in providing direct follow-up services to meet the client’s needs.
The MSW intern is responsible for the overall delivery and coordination of services for homeless families residing in family tier II shelters and/or single men’s shelters. The MSW intern is responsible for interfacing with the New York City Department of Homeless Services Staff, Shelter providers and relevant community-based organizations to enhance and ensure families are in receipt of optimal care and service coordination.
The MSW intern is responsible for the completion of psychosocial assessments of complex families impacted by multiple systems. The MSW intern will work with these systems and facilitate appropriate linkages for families to community-based services. The MSW intern must be able to work from a multi-disciplinary team approach to service provision. The position calls for an individual able to work within a crisis driven environment with a knowledge base of substance abuse and addiction, domestic violence, child maltreatment, trauma, and mental health conditions. The MSW intern will provide education to other members of the team around clients’ psychosocial stressors and needs, to ensure positive outcomes for families.
The MSW intern will obtain ongoing professional development by the individual agency program, and the New York City Department of Homeless Services – Division of Family Services. The intern will be expected to provide qualitative and quantitative feedback to Department of Homeless Services (DHS) and DHS Service Providers to inform both policy and practice.
Daily
- Lounge Area & Arts/Craft Room– Empty, wash & disinfect garbage cans; Sweep and mop floor; Wipe off counters, sink, refrigerator, etc.
- Front of Building (Riverdale Avenue) – Sweep, etc. and keep clear of litter and trash, glass, etc.; Remove snow and ice, when necessary.
- Other – Wash and disinfect all bathrooms (bowls, basins, floors, fixtures); Sweep halls, offices, gym. Empty and return waste baskets; Wash slop sink; Replace light bulbs when necessary; Check all doors and windows; Dust around and in all aforementioned areas.; Vacuum Computer Room daily;
- Outdoor Play Area(Patio – After School Side)– Clean up snow and debris, as necessary; Empty trash baskets; Cut hedges and weeds, etc.; Water planets, etc.; Hose down area as needed.
Twice per Week
- Mop floors of offices, hallways, Lounge, Craft Room, Gym, etc.; Move furniture as necessary; Change water frequently when mopping floors; Reset rooms as necessary.
- Chapel: (Mondays & Fridays) –Very important that his be kept in tip top shape: Vacuum carpet; Dust chairs, altar, piano, etc. (use polish as needed); Arrange books & bookshelves neatly.
Weekly
- Hallways & Activity Rooms – Wash and disinfect all trash cans; Wash and buff all floors; Wash baseboards.
- Outdoor– Hose down front entrances when weather permits.
- Other – Wash and disinfect bathroom walls and tiles, Mop entrances and vestibule.
Bi-Monthly
- Wash floors in offices; Wash baseboards in offices; Spot check and wipe walls; Wash light domes or bulbs, as needed; Wash and disinfect mop heads (hang to dry spreading strand); Clean up utility rooms and closets; sweep and hose down boiler room; Wash windows and blinds as needed (inside & outside).
Occasional Duties
- Every three or four months, strip floors of wax, alternate rooms to fit schedule; Treatment of gymnasium and chapel floors as needed; Be willing to assist with outside agencies use of facilities; Perform other tasks as per administrator’s specific instructions, to maintain a healthy, sanitary, hazard free environment in the Corps Community Center.
- Assist the overall facilitation of The Salvation Army, as directed by the Corps Officer.

The Case Manager position exists to assist in providing services for the Domestic Violence/Rape Crisis Program of The Salvation Army Anew Center in Chautauqua County. Based at The Salvation Army’s South or North County Office, the Case Manager will be responsible for the implementation of domestic violence, sexual assault, and rape crisis services throughout Chautauqua County. The Case Manager Position also assists with housing of homeless women as needed.
Under the direct supervision of the Program Manager, the Resident Assistant will provide support to shelter residents and create a hospitable and safe environment in the shelter. Must be able to work a flexible schedule - weekends and holidays as needed.

Under the supervision of the day care center director, the cook is primary responsible for preparing and serving all food in the center and for maintaining the kitchen in a sanitary and efficient condition. Additionally, the cook is responsible for the supervision and training of other staff assigned to kitchen or food service responsibilities.
Participates in periodic individual conferences and regular staff meetings as scheduled by the Director. These will be called when changes are planned in the children’s program which affect the cook so that discussions and suggestions for improving the services may be shared among the director and staff. Such meeting will also be called when policy or changes are be made affecting budgetary needs for food and supplies or rearrangement of space. Participation in staff parties and attendance is parents meeting are also encouraged but not required, as a means of promotion a feeling of staff unity and proving opportunities for information exchange of information between parents and total staff.

Scope & Purpose of Position: Provide basic receptionist and office duties.
