A member of the Youth Education team of the White Plains Corps. Be a site manager for the After-School Program and Summer Day Camp Program. Casework
- Interview clients and assess needs and resources of clients.
- Provide emergency assistance, counseling, advocacy to clients according to the needs assessed.
- Make referrals to area agencies for further services.
- Schedule appointments for clientele as needed.
- Maintain accurate and confidential daily records of clients including but not limited to forms/files/correspondence/statistical information/ and other records as required.
- Recognize spiritual needs of persons which may require referral to the Corps Officers (who are ordained ministers of The Salvation Army).
Program Support
- Assist with the implementation and coordination of social ministries programs at Corps
- Maintain inventory for feeding program and emergency food pantry, including supporting Corps officers in grant and in-kind donation development.
- Network with and cultivate collaborative relationships with key personnel at other social service agencies and community-based organizations in the corps area.
- Attend community meetings as requested by Corps Officers
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma, required, Associate degree in Social Services, preferred
- Have Experience in the Social Services field
- Working knowledge of Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access)
- Proven written and verbal communication skills
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
- Must be able to lift 25 lbs
- Good problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of the local community and services provided
- Valid driver’s license and use of official vehicle may be required. Ability to travel as needed
- Bi-lingual, preferred

Scope & Purpose of Position: Provide a variety of services to individuals in need, including food and personal hygiene items, clothing and furniture vouchers, rent and utility assistance, referrals to community resources, and seasonal programming. Assist clients with identifying and addressing the root causes of their situation. Reporting to the Clinical Supervisor of the Program, Clinical Supervision is provided on a consistent and regular basis.The Licensed Clinician provides office and/or community-based clinical services to Youth with a current behavioral health diagnosis or at-risk of a behavioral health diagnosis. This position allows the employee the option to work from home at certain times when they are not visiting children in their home.
The ages of the children range from 0-21. The goal of our Clinical services is intended to help prevent the progression of behavioral health needs through early identification and intervention. We may also provide these services to children/youth
in need of assessment for whom behavioral health conditions have not yet been diagnosed.
