The Development Coordinator plays a key role in the team’s day-to-day operations and provides administrative support to the Senior Donor Relations Director and two Donor Relations Directors. The Coordinator assists in improving the various systems that support the Major Gifts team in achieving established revenue targets and serves to extend their reach and effectiveness by coordinating the donor stewardship program, interacting with donors, tracking major gifts from unassigned donors, and conducting preliminary research to help build a pipeline of new major gift donor prospects.

THE SALVATION ARMY HARBOR LIGHT CENTER offers treatment for men over the age of 18 who are struggling with substance use issues. After a detailed phone assessment with the individual is completed, determination for admission is identified.
Drug and Alcohol Therapist position is responsible for all aspects of resident care throughout their treatment experience. Successfully manage an active case load of (8) eight alcohol and other drug residents of the Harbor Light Center program. Assist in all aspects of evaluation, assessment, intake, ongoing (individual and group) counseling, and transporting of clients to appointments when necessary. Utilize DDAP Licensing regulations for all documentation and treatment requirements.
- Responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of a Senior Center in accordance with the Nassau County and The Salvation Army.
- Oversee all aspects of The Salvation Army Senior Center, including congregate care program, Home delivered meals, and the SNAP program.
- The Anti-Human Trafficking Response Coordinator will work as part of a comprehensive response to trafficking in the Greater New York Command, including but not limited to conducting monthly direct outreach efforts to illicit massage parlors and other places where women and men are being exploited and trafficked.
- Coordinate and develop short term emergency housing response in collaboration with law enforcement.
- Provide trauma informed case management for all victims of human trafficking identified; and work with Salvation Army Programs and external service providers to ensure adequate survivor follow up and coordination.
- Develop, conduct and participate in ongoing awareness and training events internally with Salvation Army personnel and volunteers as well as in partnership with external stakeholders.
- Physically located at Greater New York Divisional Headquarters in New York City.
Schedule: Full time; must be able to respond 24/7 to human trafficking emergencies and
be willing to conduct overnight street outreach.
Regular working hours: Mon-Fri 8.30 a.m. – 4.00 p.m. with a 30 min meal break.

Position Overview: Understand and enforce Hospitality Rules and Regulations, as well as any manuals that pertain to one's responsibilities. Understand and enforce the Employee Code of Ethics. Clean out rooms as residents exit the shelter. Read daily logbook and complete daily tasks and responsibilities as indicated. Document in logbook and important events or supplies needed. Complete all assigned tasks on daily chore list. Answer all telephone calls, take accurate messages, and forward to appropriate individual.
The Teacher’s Aide supports the staff and the Center Director by helping to create a caring and safe environment for the children and assisting in activities to improve the overall care and quality of education. S/he must be able to communicate, listen and work well with others in a team environment, assisting the staff in implementing a quality school-age educational program and developing positive relationships with the children and their parents. The Teacher’s Aide is responsible for assisting in implementing developmentally appropriate activities based on children’s interests and needs under the direction of the Lead Teacher and the Center Director.
