Function: The Director is responsible for all facets of the planning, development, direction, and operation of a multi-state program in Eastern Pennsylvania and Delaware for adults with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities and Autism. The program includes residential support provided in community living homes and apartments (currently 40 locations, 98 individual), ranging from total 24 hours a day support to persons with multiple handicaps who require assistance with all basic daily living needs, to those who require only minimal supports for assistance with banking, healthcare planning and appointments, etc. Community Oriented Day Services (Community Options) and Supported Employment are also a part of each state’s programs and seeks to development each person’s potential in Vocational and Employment activities as well as community participation and integration (currently serves around 100 individuals.) Emphasis in the Developmental Disabilities Program is to provide the highest quality of services tailored to each person’s needs to support their continued growth while maintaining the health and safety of this very vulnerable population.
