Most importantly, the Peer Specialist will draw upon his or her own lived experience to help develop and maintain the program’s culture of respect and focus on the client’s potential for returning to independent living. The Peer Specialist must possess the ability to engage and affect change through a person-centered model. The successful candidate will demonstrate initiative, flexibility, creativity and a collaborative spirit.

The Case Manager provides supportive and direct intensive case management services to the homeless families residing in the Shelter. The Case Manager assesses the client’s needs and jointly develops a collaborative plan that addresses those needs. The Case Manager prepares the client for self-sufficiency and independent living and supports their transition back into the community. The Case Manager engages all clients and conferences with them when issues of noncompliance are identified. The Case Manager organizes case conferences and ensures that their clients are actively involved in their discharge planning.
