Salary: $17.09- $20.55  Grade:75

Position Description:
The Finance Assistant will assist the Finance Manager in the daily operations of the RJKCCC Finance Department, with primary focus on maintaining accounts payables in Serenic, billing of third party memberships, preparing credit applications, developing databases to track internal trends, and overseeing income generated by RJKCCC programs.

Responsibilities

 

Perform daily kiosk receipts collection and reconciliation, ensuring all procedures are being followed.  Prepare and make bank deposits, with the appropriate backup and corresponding reports, for all Kroc/ECEC income and reimbursements.  Create and maintain vendor accounts in Serenic accounts payable.  Enter invoices and check requests, ensuring accuracy, required backup and appropriate approvals.  Execute the check run process, including printing, and securing approvals on preliminary reports, then completing the process through printing and distribution of checks, and maintaining the appropriate files.  Prepare invoices for third party membership payments (ex. Health Partners), completing the process through Serenic.  Generate and distribute reports to officers/directors/managers as needed.  Maintain files for the same.  Assist section/department management by assigning project codes to income and expense entries, facilitating tracking, and providing financial results by project.  Prepare appropriate financial paperwork and submission to DHQ for all reserve reimbursements.  Assist in developing databases and reports to track trends relating to RJKCCC operations.  Assist/backup Director/Accountant/Administrative Assistant with daily operations within the Business Department.  Assist in developing efficient systems and procedures which will ensure continuous improvement in daily department operations.  Ensure appropriate approvals.  Conduct general office duties as assigned.  Build and maintain healthy working relationships with Kroc employees and vendors.  Assist with audit preparation and execution.  Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications


Associate degree in accounting or related field, with minimum 1-3 years work experience in an accounting or a related position. Must have the ability to develop healthy, professional relationships, both internal and external, and maintain a professional attitude and approach to problem solving. Must possess the ability to multi-task. Must be able to function in a fast-paced, frequently changing work environment. Must have an appreciation for the importance of confidentiality in all aspects of the position. Must be able to function effectively without supervision. Computer skills experience required. Must possess or have the ability to learn Microsoft Word, Excel, Lotus Notes, Serenic and CCMS software. Must possess knowledge of operating office machines such as telephones, printers, copiers, calculators, etc. Must be able to read, write, and communicate clearly in English. Must be able to lift and carry at least 10 pounds. Must possess understanding of and appreciation for the Mission of The Salvation Army and the RJKCCC. As a Mandated Reporter, must provide proof of having completed training on recognizing and reporting child abuse meeting the training standards of PA Act 153 of 2014 within 30 days of employment with recurrent training required every five years thereafter. Meets the Child Protection Clearances required by PA Act 153 to include PA Child Abuse History Clearance, PA State Police Criminal Record Check and FBI Criminal Record Check. Must have an understanding of, and appreciation for the Mission of The Salvation Army.
