SCOPE AND PURPOSE OF POSITION:

Working under the supervision of the Corps Officer, the Office Manager performs general office administrative work. Functions are varied in subject matter and level of difficulty. Work requires the use of independent judgment.

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maintains confidentiality in all aspects of client, staff, officers, and agency information
  • Serves as point person for front office activities including, answering phones, greet guests and client intake paperwork, oversee equipment maintenance, mailing, purchasing supplies/inventory, ensuring accuracy of invoices, running errands and office inquiries.
  • Organizes and schedules meetings and appointments, keep Corps calendar.
  • Organizes office operations and procedures and ensures they are
  • Coordinates with DHQ IT and HR departments, (complete HR hiring packages and forms for processing) to ensure the smooth operation.
  • Manages relationships with vendors.
  • Develop, implement, and manage tools/systems for records management, both hard and electronic
  • Coordinate Corps activities along with Corps officers; AB and Corps Council meetings, dinners, special events such as back to school and Holiday angel tree and camp applications for Long Point.
  • Assist in preparing donations for back deposits and preparing documents for centralized bookkeeper
  • Oversight of building maintenance staff and volunteers
  • Maintains records, filing, of correspondence as
  • Assist in the oversight of the clothing room and Shepard’s Table

 

 

 

  • Demonstrates cultural competence, as well as integrating understanding into daily responsibilities and interactions with the public.

Qualifications

SPECIAL SKILLS, CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
• Strong interpersonal skills using tact, patience, and courtesy.
• Excellent writing and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent typing and computer skills in Microsoft Word, client data base and Excel.
• Highly organized with attention to detail and ability to manage several tasks simultaneously.
• Valid driver’s license that meets The Salvation Army insurance requirements.
