Overview

Position: Residential Direct Support Professional $16 per hr

Department: Developmental Disabilities Program, Montgomery County, Collegeville Area 

Availability of Position: Immediately 

Schedule: Full-time

Reporting Relationship: Program Coordinators

Salary and Grade: $16.00 per hour; 72 Non-Exempt

Responsibilities

Description of Position:

This position is a non-exempt position with responsibility for support to persons with

developmental disabilities residing in residential programs in Bucks County. 

Qualifications

Requirements:

Minimum requirement of a High School Diploma/GED with a valid driver’s license. Experience should

include supports to people with a range of Intellectual Disabilities, including individuals with dual diagnoses and physical

disabilities.  Familiarity with policies, procedures and regulations toward the abilities of individuals with disabilities

preferred.  Position requires a positive attitude toward the abilities of the individuals with disabilities, good communication

skills and the desire to engage people in activities that meet their interests and broaden their horizons.  Ability to work with

management, staff, families and funding sources in a respectful and courteous manner.  Ability to effectively communicate

with staff and persons we provide services for.  Ability to initiate problem solving. Child Protection Clearances PA Act 153 requires

that all prospective employees complete the following clearance and background checks prior to employment: PA Child Abuse History Clearance,

PA State Police Criminal Record Check and FBI Criminal Record/Fingerprint Check; with renewals every five years.
