Position: Regional Manager

Department: Service Extension

Availability of Position: January 16, 2021 Location of (home) office:  NW / West of Eastern PA

Schedule: Full Time; 40+ hours p/wk

Reporting Relationship: Director – Service Extension Department

Salary and Grade: $57,000 annual, depending on education and experience; 13 Exempt

Position Overview: Provides support and management to staff and volunteers of the Service Extension Programs and

Fund Raising in the assigned region. 

Responsibilities

Description of Position:   Provide leadership in establishing and maintaining Fund Raising efforts for each Service Unit. Monitoring of existing Service Extension Program within assigned area. Responsible to follow strict internal control as it relates to funding vehicles, wills and other legal documents. Recruit, train and develop new committee chairperson, members and volunteers including visiting all Service Units within assigned area. Assist Service Unit in developing their annual budget. Establish public relations as well as interpret programs. Support Service Units with the resources and materials needed for servicing their respective communities. Assist the development and implementation of new Service Unit programs. Identify and recommend systemic change that will improve service delivery. Attend Service Unit meetings both locally and regional. Attend and/or recruit volunteers to attend all United Way meetings and be active in community service groups within assigned region. Provide and maintain accurate records and train volunteers to do so. Support divisional responses and large-scale events as available. Perform related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Requirements:    

  • Must establish and maintain dedicated office at home – preferably within counties assigned in NW / West section of Eastern PA
  • Active in local Community Service Organization and/or Church Organization
  • A combination of work experience and post secondary education is preferred.
  • Must be willing and able to travel and have valid driver’s license with approval to drive a Salvation Army vehicle is required.
  • Child Protection Clearances PA Act 153 requires that all prospective employees complete the following clearance and background checks prior to employment: PA Child Abuse History Clearance, PA State Police Criminal Record Check and FBI Criminal Record/Fingerprint Check. Meets the Child Protection Clearances required by PA Act 153 with renewals every five years.
  • Must have an understanding of and appreciation for the Mission of The Salvation Army.
