Position: Maintenance Worker    

Department:  Maintenance Department - Camp Ladore   

Availability of Position: Immediate                                                        

Schedule: Full time 40 hours weekly - Schedule may vary, occasional nights and weekends.

Reporting Relationship: Site Resource Manager                                                  

Salary and Grade: $14.00 per hour; Grade 74, Non-Exempt

Overview: Provide technical expertise to resolve site and facilities maintenance needs. Support program area needs

as appropriate. Provide construction and mechanical skills needed for Ladore projects.


Description of Position:

  • Maintenance duties of Ladore site and facilities as directed by Site Resource Manager
  • Construction projects as directed by Site Resource Manager
  • Perform specific technical functions as directed by Site Resource Manager (i.e. Plumbing, electrical, mechanical, carpentry)
  • Perform grounds work as needed according to time of year as directed by Site Resource Manager
  • Operate Ladore equipment safely and properly
  • Provide program support functions as necessary
  • Observe material handling guidelines of all chemicals
  • Support mission of Ladore Camp and Conference Center and The Salvation Army
  • Performs related duties as assigned.


  • Ability to work across maintenance and construction disciplines
  • Physically able to work outdoors
  • Routinely lift 100 pounds
  • Valid PA Driver’s License
  • Attitude of cooperation and teamwork
  • As a Mandated Reporter, must provide proof of having completed training on recognizing and reporting child abuse meeting the training standards of PA Act 153 of 2014 within 30 days of employment with recurrent training required every five years thereafter. Meets the Child Protection Clearances required by PA Act 153 to include PA Child Abuse History Clearance, PA State Police Criminal Record Check and FBI Criminal Record Check. Must have an understanding of and appreciation for the Mission of The Salvation Army.
