Overview

Title: Kettle Manager / Social Media Coordinator Seasonal                        

Location: Coatesville Corps  

Reports To: Commanding Officers

Supervises: Kettle Workers

Availability: Immediate 

Schedule:  9:00am to 5:00pm (Additional hours/some evenings, as necessary or needed)

Salary and Grade: $20.00 per hour; Grade 74, Non-Exempt

Position Overview: The Kettle Manager/ Social Media Coordinator is responsible for planning, implementing and monitoring a company's Social Media strategy to increase brand awareness, improve Marketing efforts and increase Christmas donations. The Kettle manager is responsible for planning, directing and overseeing the operations of the Christmas season. The manager is responsible for overseeing and leading the work of all groups of people in many instances during the collection times.

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership, oversight and management to all kettle employees and partnering stores.
  • Maintain regular consistent and professional attendance, punctuality, personal appearance, and adhere to relevant health & safety guidelines and procedures.
  • Responsible for being the primary contact between stores and The Salvation Army in the Coatesville Community.
  • Manage all online media posting and media advertising during the Christmas kettle campaign.
  • Manage all kettle season reports, scheduling and employee processing.
  • Have constant supervision of the 2021 kettle Campaign, donors, employee and volunteers.
  • Design social media strategies to achieve marketing targets.
  • Manage, create and publish original, high quality content and respond to all social media inquiries.
  • Administer Facebook page to ensuring up-to-date content.
  • Creates graphics in various mediums including print as needed.
  •  Liaise with DHQ designers to ensure content is informative and appealing.
  • Monitor user engagement and suggest content optimization via Facebook.
  • Coordinate all online efforts for the season.
  • Stay up to date with new digital technologies and social media best practices.
  • Coordinate all paid workers and volunteers. Schedule and notify kettle workers and volunteers of their assignments.
  • Serve as the digital photographer as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Maintains regular attendance.

Qualifications

  • Must be self motivated, able to multi-task, a ‘go getter’, strong communication skills, highly organized, and able to work with limited supervision and direction.
  • As a Mandated Reporter, must provide proof of having completed training on recognizing and reporting child abuse meeting the training standards of PA Act 153 of 2014 within 30 days of employment with recurrent training required every five years thereafter.
  • Meets the Child Protection Clearances required by PA Act 153 to include PA Child Abuse History Clearance, PA State Police Criminal Record Check and FBI Criminal Record Check.
  • Must have an understanding of and appreciation for the Mission of The Salvation Army.
