Overview

Position: Senior Ministries Coordinator                                                                                    

Location: Philadelphia Citadel Corps   

Availability of Position: Immediate

Schedule: Monday, Wednesday and Friday, 9:00 am – 2:00 pm

Reporting Relationship: Corps Officers

Salary and Grade: $15.00 per hr; 75 Non-exempt

 

Description of Position:    

The Senior Ministries Coordinator is a part-time position whose primary duties are to provide leadership to the weekly senior ministry program, including organization, preparation, execution, and statistical collection.

Responsibilities

Duties

  • Oversee all aspects of the Senior Ministry program.
  • Prepare and lead the weekly senior program on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.
  • Ensure program is operated in a safe and healthy manner.
  • Enroll and track all applicants for this program and maintain records on a timely basis.
  • Seek funding sources and report to funders on a timely basis, as required.
  • Maintain monthly statistics and reporting as required by The Salvation Army.
  • Coordinate, organize, and implement participation in the Camp Ladore senior program.

Qualifications

Requirements:                       

  • High School Graduate or equivalent; Bachelor degree a plus; Three-year work experience in a related field Preferred.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license, as well as be approved by The Salvation Army’s driver’s insurance program.
  • Ability to driver 12 passenger vans, as well as pass the associated van test.
  • Experience in the not for profit/social services realm a plus.
  • Comfortable in an urban environment.
  • Highly organized and able to function in a busy environment.
  • Ability to prioritize and to set and achieve both short term and long-term goals.
  • Ability to complete reports on a timely basis.
  • Adherence to The Salvation Army’s Code of Conduct and Conflict of Interest Policy.
  • As a Mandated Reporter, must provide proof of having completed training on recognizing and reporting child abuse meeting the training standards of PA Act 153 of 2014 within 30 days of employment withrecurrent training required every five years thereafter.
  • Meets the Child Protection Clearances required by PA Act 153 to include PA Child Abuse History Clearance, PA State Police Criminal Record Check and FBI Criminal Record Check.Must have an understanding of and appreciation for the Mission of The Salvation Army.
