SCHEDULE:              Full Time – available as on-call (24 hours daily)


FUNCTION: The primary responsibility of the Facilities Manager (FM) is to oversee the overall interior and exterior maintenance of Booth and Catherine Booth residences, and surrounding property. This includes, but it not limited to HVAC equipment, perform maintenance on heavy equipment and building systems, and maintain a preventative maintenance schedule for the buildings, ensuring that all codes are adhered to. He/She assigns work schedules and duties to maintenance, custodian, on-call emergency staff and caretaker. Other tasks include but not limited to – ordering and maintaining stock, communicating with vendors and maintain grounds upkeep, snow removal and general upkeep of the buildings and surrounding property. Facilities Manager will communicate with the Certified Occupancy Specialists at both locations, as well as the Administrator, the “re-conditioning” schedule. The “re-conditioning” of the rooms to be completed within a three (3) week period of when the unit is vacated.                     


  1. High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  2. 3 – 5 years of experience in maintaining of facility.
  3. Good skills and experience in various maintenance functions including through knowledge of HVAC equipment.
  4. Must be safety conscious.
  5. Must have Universal Technician Certification – Core Section Type I, II and III HVAC/EPA Clean Air 608.
  6. Must secure additional HVAC/R Certification – R-410A Technician Certification.
  7. Must have an appreciation for dealing with specific needs and communication with elderly/disabled population.
  8. Must be able to change to a different task quickly as an emergency requires.
  9. Must possess the ability to make minor repairs to facilities.
  10. Must be able to communicate clearly and directly when problems arise with tenants, families, visitors, emergency persons, monitoring company and facility staff.
  11. Must be able to coordinate maintenance schedules for regular workday and on-call schedules.
  12. Must keep Administrator informed of emergencies or other problems during on-call hours.
  13. Must possess the ability to maintain a professional attitude, in all situations.
