Reporting to the Commanding Officers, the Office Manager/ Social Ministries Coordinator will serve in a vital community ministry role for this corps service area. She/ He will be integrally involved in the ministry of the corps and in the promotion of the Mission of The Salvation Army. The Office Manager/ Social Ministry Coordinator should remain teachable and possess a passion to further the cause of The Salvation Army.
The role will oversee all aspects of the food pantry program including but not limited to ordering, stocking shelves, preparing bags and scheduling of client appointments, under the direction of the Corps Officers. This role will manage the soup kitchen program including but not limited to ordering, stocking, equipping the program with food supplies and resources which also includes scheduling and training volunteers. This role includes managing volunteer opportunities for community stakeholders at The Salvation Army Riverhead Corps. He/She will assist in growing social ministries program here at The Salvation Army Corps as indicated below in general/ specific responsibilities.
