DEPARTMENT:          Divisional Youth Department   

 

REPORTS TO:            Divisional Youth Secretary

 

SUPERVISES:            None                           

 

STATUS:                    Exempt

 

SCHEDULE:               Full time, including nights, weekends and holidays

 

FUNCTION:              The Divisional Music Director will act as the Divisional representative for the SWONEKY Division and Territorial events.  The DMD will work with the Divisional Youth and Candidates Secretary to develop and implement Divisional Music programs and ministries.  The DMD will have direct leadership in all music programs in the SWONEKY division.  The DMD also act as a liaison between Corps and Divisional Headquarters.

Qualifications

  1. Bachelor’s degree in music education or related field or equivalent experience
  2. Committed, mature Christian that will uphold The Salvation Army’s mission statement
  3. Minimum of five years prior experience working in the music field supervision experience
  4. Must wear a uniform and attend a Corps for worship weekly.
  5. Must be clear of any state/federal violations/abuse of children
  6. Must have a driver’s license and be able to clear The Salvation Army’s insurance, in order to drive a Salvation Army vehicle.
