Located in West Nyack, NY the Eastern Territorial Headquarters (THQ) has a part-time opening for a Server/Dining Room Attendant. This position is Monday-Friday, 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM.



At the direction of our Executive Chef, the Server/Dining Room Attendant is responsible for supporting the daily food service operation in the Stella Young Dining Room and THQ catered events. This individual will work as part of a team providing professional and responsive service to dining guests.

  • Provide a variety of customer service-related duties including greeting customers, posting the daily menu, retrieving of cash bank, and operation of cash registers.
  • Prepare gourmet sandwiches, wraps, and assist with salad preparation or any other assigned prepared food item.
  • Stocks communal beverage stations within the building
  • Washes pots and pans, operates dishwasher, stores clean items in proper place and ensure that the pot and pan area is clean.
  • Assists in daily and weekly kitchen and dining room cleaning assignments
  • Sets up/serves/breaks down dining room serving areas and maintains a clean, organized, and replenished workspace.
  • Accept food deliveries and properly stores in accordance with food standards.
  • Removes trash and clears storage bins, sweeping and mopping if needed.
  • Cleans tabletops, chairs and surfaces within the kitchen and dining area.
  • Makes/serves/replenishes coffee and beverage dispensers in the dining area and other assigned communal beverage stations.
  • Ensures proper equipment operation/maintenance and ensures proper safety and sanitation in the kitchen as per New York State and Rockland County guidelines.



  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and one year of related experience.
  • 1-3 years of related experience preferred.


  • Requires good verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and with initiative
  • Sound judgment and a calm, professional demeanor
  • A positive and professional attitude and good customer service skills
  • Flexibility and willingness to work different shifts, including evening and weekends when necessary
  • SERV Safe Certificate or equivalent preferred
  • Must have knowledge of food safety and sanitation requirements of a food service operation.
  • Adherence to uniform and hygiene standards required.
  • Basic math skills
  • Ability to multitask

 Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time
  • Ability to reach with arms and use hands to handle or feel
  • Ability to lift 10-50 pounds
