Overview

Samaritan Center for Adult Care

Reports to:    Adult Day Services Director 

Supervises:   N/A

Status:         Full time, up to 40 hours per week

Schedule:     Must be available Monday through Friday 7 am to 5 pm

Function:      Responsible for the general supervision of clients, providing personal care to the clients, implementing planned activities, and the cleanliness of the adult day program.  Responsible for safely transporting participants to and from the program, escorting adult day services participants to and from vehicles, providing general supervision of participants and the documentation related to the transportation program. 

Qualifications

  • Must be a high school graduate, or have successfully completed to GED
  • Must have a minimum of two year employment experience in providing personal care activities and/or social/recreational services under the direction of a licensed or certified health care professional
  • Must pass Criminal Background Check with no disqualifying offenses
  • Must be reliable and dependable
  • Must have a signed statement from a licensed physician stating the driver has no medical or physical condition that may impede safe driving, passenger assistance, emergency treatment, or the health and welfare of the participant or general public
  • Must pass drug and alcohol tests
  • Must possess the ability to understand written and oral instructions
  • Must be 21 years of age
  • Must possess a valid Ohio Driver's License with at least 2 years driving experience.  Must be able to obtain and maintain driving preivaledges per The Salvation Army standards.
