Overview

The Salvation Army’s Ray & Joan Kroc Community Center is looking to hire a Human Resources Specialist and offers an excellent benefit package to eligible employees including:

Qualifications

  • Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
    • Certification in payroll a plus
    • Minimum three (3) years of Human Resources experience
    • Must have experience processing payroll
    • Current working knowledge of applicable state and federal labor and employment laws
    • Must have 3-5 years’ experience with handling employee relation matters
    • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills (written & verbal)
    • Must be able to communicate effectively in English
    • High level of confidentiality, discretion, and judgment
    • Working knowledge of Human Resources Information Systems
    • Strong PC skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel
    • Strong work ethic and team player
    • Ability to communicate with various levels of management in a professional manner

     

 

The Kroc Human Resources Specialist is responsible for maintaining employee payroll records and performing other HR duties including but not limited to:

 

  • Employee Relations - Investigate all employee complaints and keep documentation and review action plan with Kroc Administrator and HR Director
  • Review all timesheets for anomalies and work with supervisors to correct issues
  • Distribute checks and paystubs on bi-weekly basis
  • Conduct new hire employee orientations
  • Maintain local employee files
  • Assist with job postings and interviews
  • Chair the Staff Enrichment Committee
  • Performance Appraisals
  • Training and Development

 

This position is Exempt.

Pay Range:  $60,000 to $65,000 per year
