Position Overview:  Part-time, hourly, and Non-Exempt position.  Employees will have access to our generous Benefit Program upon completion of 90-days of employment.  The Visitation Monitor will work at our Family Place/Foster Program location.  Responsible for providing SAVES supervised visitation Services to individuals and families with a history of victimization. Administer trauma informed supervised visitation services and parent and community education. Responsible for reporting, monitoring, development and evaluation functions

Responsibilities

Overview of Essential Duties:

  • Provide comprehensive intake, evaluation and assessments of clients and referring to auxiliary services as necessary.
  • Initiate and maintain regular contact with assigned clients and families.
  • Conduct regular visitation sessions with children, teens and non-custodial parents.
  • Provide intervention with the entire family as appropriate, including parenting education and coaching through a trauma informed lens.
  • Devise and implement individual visitation and intervention plans
  • Provide written documentation on visit observations, client contacts and any utilized interventions.
  • Present cases for intra-agency consultation, in addition to participating in regularly held department staff meetings, case conferences, supervision, and in-service training sessions.
  • Maintain all case files, narratives, statistical information and ongoing assessment, including but not limited to those necessary to meet grant requirements.
  • Collaborate effectively with outside services and agencies.
  • Demonstrate cultural competence as well as integrated knowledge and understanding into daily responsibilities.
  • Provide court documentation and testimony as warranted, including recommendations to the court, attorneys and other parties concerns , regarding custody or other case specific issues.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • BA in Social Work, Psychology or another related Human Services Field
  • Requires background and/or training in dynamics of domestic violence, trauma and child development
  • Must have a valid NYS Driver License that will meet The Salvation Army insurance requirements
  • Must have access to reliable private transportation during scheduled work hours
  • Could be required to work outside of normal business hours due to client needs.
