Overview

Under the supervision of the Camp Director, perform various duties relating to the adventure challenge course program of the camp.

Responsibilities

  • To organize, direct and instruct adventure challenge programming geared to ages, interests, and abilities of campers.
  • Teach and monitor proper use of equipment.
  • Conduct daily check of equipment for safety, cleanliness, and good repair.
  • Be part of Jesus Theater. Be part of Jesus Theater, a choreodrama presentation of the gospel of Jesus Christ set to some of today’s pop music.

Qualifications

  • College student or at least 18 years of age
  • Must complete 16–24-hour site-specific adventure challenge course training certification
  • Able to lift and carry up to fifty pounds, and be comfortable working safely at heights of up to 35 feet
  • Previous experience in belaying and facilitating rock walls, alpine towers, or rope courses are strongly preferred
  • Self-motivated, responsible an independent worker, and organized
