Overview

Classification: Full-Time, Exempt, 40 hours/week, 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

 

Job Focus:  This position is responsible for providing leadership and general oversight to the Columbus Area Services social ministries - Housing Programs, Learning Center, Emergency Disaster Services Program, Material Assistance Program, Disaster & Emergency Relief Program, and the Christmas Cheer Program.  Writes grants.  Monitors budgets and program outcomes.

Qualifications

  • An understanding of and passion for The Salvation Army’s Mission
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, Licensed Social Worker (State of Ohio) required; Master’s in Social Work preferred
  • Supervisory experience required
  • Grant writing experience required
  • Highly organized and able to multi-task
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • A positive can-do attitude and a sleeves rolled up approach to leadership
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Must obtain and maintain driver privileges per The Salvation Army insurance standards
  • Ability to drive a small box truck, no special license required
