Title: Special Project Coordinator                                        

Location: West Chester Corps, 101 East Market St, West Chester, PA 19380

Reports To: Commanding Officers & Family Services Administrator

Availability: Immediate

Schedule: Part-Time; Monday – Friday; 9:00am to 2:00pm

Salary and Grade:  $11.00 hr. / 71  Non-Exempt


Position Overview: The Project Coordinator is responsible for delivering building development projects of varying size and complexity. The Coordinator is responsible for directing, organizing and controlling project activities, under the direction of the Commanding Officers and the Family Services Administrator. The Special Projects coordinator oversees various projects within the organization. The position requires candidates to have the ability to supervise others and organize the various tasks involved in completing a project.


Responsible for food outreach program

      • Organize Food Pantry
      • Ensure food products are rotated and within dates of expiration
      • Receive and Process food donations as needed
      • Pick up donations all donations as needed
      • Assist with food giveaway
      • Setting up tables, putting food out, collecting client’s statistics


 Coordinate Court Ordered Community Service Program

      • Maintain records between Community Service Clients and court representatives
      • Conduct initial interview with clients
      • Schedule hours and provide supervising staff information
      • Provide clear assignments and task when directly supervising Community Service Clients.


Christmas Assistance

      • Christmas Children Program
      • Help schedule and pick up food, gifts and toys donations.
      • Responsible for Adopt-The-Family program
      • Recruit adopters
      • Schedule and assist with distribution of gifts to clients
      • Give support to Officers during kettle season when needed.

  • High School Diploma
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Basic Level proficiency of Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Good communication skills verbal and written
  • Computer literate to maintain e-mails account (Outlook)
  • Must be able to maintain flexible schedule including weekends, holidays and evening if needed
  • As a Mandated Reporter, must provide proof of having completed training on recognizing and reporting child abuse meeting the training standards of PA Act 153 of 2014 within 30 days of employment with recurrent training required every five years thereafter. Meets the Child Protection Clearances required by PA Act 153 to include PA Child Abuse History Clearance, PA State Police Criminal Record Check and FBI Criminal Record Check.
