Classification: Temporary, Full-Time, Non-Exempt, up to 37.5 hours per week, 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.   This position’s office is in Delaware, Ohio.


Job Focus:  This position will provide short to medium-term home-based case management to homeless families and families in housing crisis in Delaware and Morrow Counties. Case management services include life skills training, case plan goal development, budgeting, employment search and preparation, referral and linkage to community resources and transporting clients. Other duties include processing client intake and assessment forms, and data collection maintenance. Ideal candidate must be able to work independently.


  • An understanding of and passion for The Salvation Army’s Mission
  • Licensed Social Worker or Social Work Assistant license, preferred
  • Experience working in the field of housing and homelessness preferred
  • Must be able to demonstrate excellent organizational skills and the ability to work with a diverse population
  • Ideal candidate MUST be able to work independently
  • Valid Ohio Driver’s license and the ability obtain and maintain driving privileges per Salvation Army insurance standards
