To make the Service Center a more integral part of the community outreach by implementing programs to teach individuals and families to solve their critical problems and achieve better stability.   The Program Coordinator is under the direct supervision of the Service Center Director with oversight from the Director of the Service Extension Department.


  1. Provide direct service to families and individuals:
  2. Implement and promote programs such as mentoring, advocacy, resource referral and

                        community linkage.

  1. Educate and assist individuals and families to problem solve toward successful solutions.
  2. Maintain special programming documentation of clients served.
  3. Oversee follow-up services, including but not limited to: collecting data for client tracking and statistics, database management for reports on client activity and special events.
  4. Outreach in the community to locate primary groups that may benefit from programs offered.
  5. Collaborate with the Service Center Director and other community agency representatives to provide educational and/or resource opportunities to clients and community members.
  6. Work with the Service Center Director to develop future programs that target specific community needs.
  7. Distribute program and/or seasonal flyers for community outreach.
  8. Assist in the daily activities of the Service Center, including but not limited to: food orders, financial assistance, prescription assistance and other services as needed.
  9. Assist in all seasonal assistance programs, including but not limited to: Camp NEOSA, Back-to-School, Angel Tree, Christmas Food Baskets, and Backpack food
  10. Organize Red Kettle Campaign locations as needed.
  11. Perform a variety of functions as assigned by the Service Center Director.



  • Bachelor’s degree in social work or related field preferred or two to three years of related experience.


  • Must be able to communicate and relate to individuals and groups
  • Skills in intake interviewing
  • Ability to meet specific job requirements
