    Status: Part-time, Non-exempt, Temporary

    Hours Per Week:  25

    Schedule: Mon – Thurs, 9:00 am – 2:30 pm (1/2 hour unpaid lunch); Fri, 9:00 am – 2:00 pm


    Scope & Purpose of Position:

    Provide a variety of services to individuals in need and assist them with addressing the root causes of their situation.


    Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.

    • Provide intake services for all clients seeking emergency assistance for food, rent and utilities.
    • Maintain strict confidentiality of all information to which you have access.
    • Assist clients with appropriate referrals.
    • Maintain accurate, detailed, and up-to-date client files.
    • Collect data and prepare reports for Food Pantry and Social Services to provide the Corps Officers.
    • Oversee, and coordinate Food Pantry operations including scheduling of volunteers to prepare for the days services and prepare and clean for the next day.
    • Attend any training given by Divisional Headquarters pertaining to social services. In addition, attend trainings given by The Connecticut Food Bank related to running an efficient and effective Food Pantry.
    • Assist with The Salvation Army seasonal events (Christmas/Thanksgiving registrations and distribution).
