    REPORTS TO:            Housing Manager

    SUPERVISES:            None                           

    STATUS:                     Non - Exempt, Part-time 25 hours per week      

    SCHEDULE:               Flexible Schedule – A minimum of two evenings per week required  

    FUNCTION:               To work in collaboration with shelter staff, Cincinnati Public Schools and local care providers to assess; design; implement and evaluate interventions to address educational, and social emotional needs of program participants ages 0 -18.

    Responsibilities

    1. Preforms Child/ Parent Assessments to identify the needs of families. Assess, refer, and monitor each child’s needs for counseling, tutoring, social skills, school intervention, preventive health care, etc.
    2. Document all relevant interaction in HMIS system in a timely manner.
    3. Assist parents with enrollments into Cincinnati Public Schools, and quality rated childcare facilities.
    4. Develops and maintains relationships with local partners (i.e. 4C for children, Project Connect, Job and Family Services, UpSprings, Community Action Agency.
    5. Design and implement evening activities aimed at promoting positive family bonding.
    6. Provide educational information to parents pertaining but not limited to: nutrition, parenting, self-esteem, child safety and protection, and child development.
    7. Attend trainings and community meetings designated appropriate by the Housing Manager.
    8. Collect and report data required by program funders.

    Qualifications

    1. Associates Degree in Education, Social Work, Community Health Education or related area or
    2. Equivalent combination of experience and training
    3. A valid driver’s license and current auto insurance
