    Position:   New Day Milieu Worker                           

    Department: PSSM - New Day Stop Trafficking Center                     

    Availability of Position: Immediate                                             

    Schedule: Full-Time; Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday 9 am-5 pm, Thursday 1 pm-9 pm

    Reporting Relationship: New Day Drop-In Coordinator              

    Salary and Grade: $16.00 per hour; 74 Non-Exempt

    The New Day Milieu Worker (NDMW) will work at the Drop-In Center to ensure onsite duties are completed during hours of operation. The NDMW will be responsible for assisting in the daily functioning of the drop-in center, coordinating access to resources for all women entering the drop-in center, as well as provide ongoing crisis intervention and leadership during the operating hours of drop-in center. 


    • BSW or related degree required
    • Experience with program administration and community organizing work.
    • Experience with working directly with victims of commercial sexual exploitation or domestic violence or may be a survivor of sexual exploitation.
    • Must have reliable transportation to travel from site to site as may be needed in the performance of duties.
    • Professional-level communications skills.
    • Bilingual in Spanish preferred
    • Must have an understanding of and appreciation for the Mission of The Salvation Army.
    • As a Mandated Reporter, must provide proof of having completed training on recognizing and reporting child abuse meeting the training standards of PA Act 153 of 2014 within 30 days of employment with recurrent training required every five years thereafter. Meets the Child Protection Clearances required by PA Act 153 to include PA Child Abuse History Clearance, PA State Police Criminal Record Check and FBI Criminal Record Check.
