    Schedule: Part-time Plus - up to 29 hours per week
    Reporting Relationship: Food Service Supervisor
    Salary Grade: $11.29 per hour, 72 Non-exempt

    Position Overview: The Café Server will be responsible for the daily operations in the Hospitality Ministry Department. Specific duties will include high levels of guest service, P.O.S. order entry, cash handling, product preparation and delivery, equipment maintenance, and café cleanliness. This individual will be empowered to ensure member and guest satisfaction.


    Experience in a fast paced café environment is preferred; experience with a P.O.S. system required, able to function in a fast-paced, frequently changing work environment. Must possess good guest service skills. Must be able to lift and carry at least 40 pounds frequently throughout the shift; able to stand for long periods of time. The successful candidate will have the ability to work well with others while responding to direction and feedback. Must be able to read, write, and clearly communicate in English. Position requires the ability to function effectively with minimal supervision. Must meet all food safety and sanitation guidelines as set forth by The Salvation Army. As a Mandated Reporter, must provide proof of having completed training on recognizing and reporting child abuse meeting the training standards of PA Act 153 of 2014 within 30 days of employment with recurrent training required every three years thereafter. Meets the Child Protection Clearances required by PA Act 153 to include PA Child Abuse History Clearance, PA State Police Criminal Record Check and FBI Criminal Record Check.
