    EEC qualified and/or BA degree in Early Childhood Education or have a Child Development Associate


    1. Work Experience


    EEC Teacher required nine months of work experience.


    1. Other Qualifications


    • Must have First Aid and CPR training,
    • Physical stamina and the ability to relate well with children and adults


    1. Principal Functions


    Cooperative Team teaching in The Salvation Army Children’s Learning Center.


    1. Duties and Responsibilities


    1. Represent The Salvation Army social mission through their contacts with the Children of the Day Care Center and their parents.
    2. Refer persons with spiritual needs to The Salvation Army Dorchester Corps Officer
    3. Scheduling and supervising activities as planned by the team.
    4. Preparing educational materials required to implement the curriculum.
    5. Maintaining an orderly environment for the children.
    6. Assisting with all meal service.
    7. Assisting children with self-care activities.
    8. Supervising children while using safety measures.
    9. Actively participating in games and activities.
    10. Attending all staff and parent meetings/workshops/trainings.
    11. Acting as Lead Teacher when he/she is absent.
