  • Overview

    Provide administrative support to the corps officer.  Provide a welcoming and helpful atmosphere to those seeking information or assistance from The Salvation Army. Supervise volunteers and partner with community resources to meet needs in the community.  Assist in any Salvation Army program application process- Summer Camp, Thanksgiving and Christmas and any other programs as needed.


    1. Greets clients in person, by phone, or through email.
    2. Assesses clients’ needs and explains services, including social, educational and enrichment services to meet needs.
    3. Handles requests for seasonal and general assistance.
    4. Maintains and keeps client, volunteer, and Pathstone employee records.
    5. Keeps statistics on services provided.
    6. Performs data entry, composing correspondence, securing and reviewing of confidential documents, maintain client files.
    7. Create and maintain a resource book with agencies offering services in the area for referral purposes.
    8. Track food pantry items from the Food Bank, reorder food. Track office, kitchen, and janitorial supplies and reorder as needed.  Requires corps officer approval before purchases are made.
    9. Other duties as assigned.


    1. Proficient in Microsoft Office programs and experience with basic office equipment (photocopier, scanner, phone, etc).
    2. Excellent communication and organizational skills, attention to detail and self-motivated.
    3. The ability to apply discretion, maintain confidentiality and display professionalism in all situations.
    4. Fluent in English and Spanish preferred.
    5. Valid driver’s license.
    6. Relevant professional experience preferred.
