REPORTS TO: Corps Ministry Assistant and Corps Officer
SCHEDULE: up to 29 hours weekly
FUNCTION: To support the ongoing mission of The Salvation Army by maintaining standards and facilitating sales and donations at the Portsmouth Corps Thrift Store
-Prepare and Serve meals in accordance with food safety standards.
-Maintain cleanliness, sanitization, and order in kitchen and serving area.
-Plan and adhere to a monthly menu
-Coordinate with Corps Ministry Assistant and Corps Officer to order and obtain food and supplies.
-Stock and maintain food and dry storage as necessary
-Accurately report food statistics.
-Secure kitchen and storage areas when not in use.
-Responsible for ordering items from the foodbank, at the confirmation of the Corps Officer, and picking up those items when necessary
-Responsible for making sure supplies are ordered through the proper procedure
-Participate in trainings as needed.
-Comply with all applicable laws and regulations pertaining to food service.
