  • Overview

    Under the direction of the Corps Officer the English teacher, will assume a variety of responsibilities geared towards providing relevant and meaningful English programs and activities for seniors in the community center for the upcoming year.


    • Must be able to teach at least 1 class per week, each class is 2 hours long in the afternoon from 1:00pm-3:00pm. Able to be flexible in working schedule
    • Must be able to teach our Saturday Summer Adult English Class, 7 classes, 2 hour long in the morning 10:00am-12:00pm, & Fall & Spring Saturday Adult English Class, 12 classes, 2 hour long in the morning 10:00am-12:00pm.
    • Responsible for the Adult English Class Curriculum
    • Prepare & teach all class materials.
    • Ensure all adults are taken care of during program times with care.


    • Associate or Higher Degree
    • Must be Bilingual in (Chinese & English) will be teaching Seniors with Chinese dialect.
    • Must have experience with teaching a class.
    • Mature individual with ability to exhibit patience, compassion, kind hearted and sensitivity to the seniors.
    • Ability to remain calm and work under pressure or tense environment.
