    Position: Maintenance Technician

    Department:   Ivy Residence, 4051 Ford Road, Philadelphia, PA

    Availability of Position: Immediately

    Schedule: Full-Time, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM; on call on weekends and after hours emergencies

    Reporting Relationship: Primary: Maintenance Supervisor: Secondary: Property Manager

    Salary and Grade: $14.40 per hour; 74 Non-exempt

    Responsibilities

    The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for the overall cleanliness and condition of the Ivy Residence building and surrounding property. This will include a daily routine cleaning schedule of all common areas, trash removal, inspection of units / property, complete work orders, painting, preventative maintenance and care and upkeep.

    Qualifications

    High school diploma or GED. 2 Years of prior maintenance experience required. Must maintain a safe and sanitary workspace and follows all OSHA regulations and have a maintenance certificate A+. Must have excellent customer service skills and be able to communicate well with people. Child Protection Clearances PA Act 153 requires that all prospective employees complete the following clearance and background checks: PA Child Abuse History Clearance, PA State Police Criminal Record Check and FBI Criminal Record/Fingerprint Check must have an understanding of, and appreciation for, the Mission of The Salvation Army.
