    This position is Full Time Exempt at 35 hours per week.

     

    Job Summary

    The AHT Regional Coordinator will work as a part of a Comprehensive response to trafficking in Western Pennsylvania.  The Regional Coordinator will provide intensive case management for all victims of human trafficking identified. The Regional Coordinator will provide trauma informed clinical case management for victims of human trafficking and will work with the area service provider partners to ensure follow up and coordination of all aftercare services. The Regional Coordinator will also be responsible to participate in awareness and training events when applicable as well as develop rapport with local law enforcement contacts. The AHT Regional Coordinator will be located in Greater Pittsburgh DHQ.

    Responsibilities

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

     

    • Receive referrals and cases from local Organizations.
    • Conduct training quarterly
    • Interview Clients needing services
    • Travel to various locations in Western Pennsylvania
    • Collect statistical data and generate reports as needed
    • Keep fluid conversations with local Organizations
    • Maintain a case record on each participant that includes assessments, a social history, action plan, progress notes, and other supporting documentation. 
    • Work with Corps Officer and Corps Pastoral Care Team to provide needed pastoral care for families

    Qualifications

    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

     

    • Must have an understanding of the issue of Domestic and Foreign Human Trafficking.
    • Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to travel from site to site as may be needed in the performance of duties.
    • Professional-level communications skills verbal and written.
    • Bilingual in Spanish
    • Must have an understanding of and appreciation for the Mission of The Salvation Army.
    • Child Protection Clearances PA Act 153 requires that all prospective employees complete the following clearance and background checks: PA Child Abuse History Clearance, PA State Police Criminal Record Check and FBI Criminal Record/Fingerprint Check.
    • All three PA Clearances required upon employment and thereafter upon renewal date: PA Child Abuse History Clearance, Request for Criminal Record, and Fingerprint based federal criminal history.

     

    • PA Mandated and Permissive Reporting and The Salvation Army’s KeepSAfe training required.

     

     

    Education and Experience:

     

    • MSW degree with a minimum of two years’ experience in human trafficking or a related field is highly preferred or BSW with minimum five years’ experience working in human trafficking or a related field (e.g. domestic violence, immigrant rights, workers’ rights) in a role that involves service provision, training, and/or advocacy.
    • Experience with trauma informed care preferably a working knowledge of Sanctuary Model for Trauma informed services.
